Person just calls and is talking in the background but doesn't say anything into the phone. Call back and the computerized operator puts me on hold

I am getting calls from this no. since last few days, either it is a missed call or if I pick up the phone, nobody speaks from the other side. Why the telephone service providers cannot take any action against this type of callers?

I have received SEVERAL calls from this number. When I answer, no one speaks to me I just hear foreign people speaking in the background. They seem to not hear me because I have yelled into the phone & used other loud noises, but get absolutely no response. When i call the number back it tells me i need to input an access code for their service. How do I get rid of this nuisance???

It was a friend calling from a pay phone located at the 16th & Mission Street BART Station (BayAreaRapidTransit)in San Francisco, California.

Unknown caller dialing in. Suspect telemarketer and I am on a do not call list!

I get this number when I receive a long distance called from abroad. How is that possible? But it is.

Received voicemail from "John Smith" and stated to return his call and not to diregard his message. Per the voicemail if I do not return his call, he wishes me luck.

This person is constantly calling and hanging up or calling and I answer they hang up. If I call the number it just rings. This is all day.

Fax trying to call my phone quite often, very irritating!!!
